Salokaya Dialysis center

Salokaya Dialysis Center offers the latest in dialysis treatment technology and personal care in a resort-style setting. We are committed to the highest quality in patient care, with a low patient to nurse ratio and a state-of-the-art water filtration system for your safety. We know that spending hours at a dialysis center can be tiring. That’s why we offer VIP care and first-class comfort with every visit.

Hemodialysis is the most common treatment method used to treat advanced kidney failure. During the treatment blood is allowed to flow, a few ounces at a time, through a special filter that removes wastes and extra fluids. Once clean, the blood is returned to your body. Removing the harmful wastes and excess fluids helps to control the blood pressure and keep the proper balance of chemicals such as potassium and sodium in your body. Hemodialysis is usually needed three times a week for 3 to 5 or more hours each visit.
You can choose from a convenient timing option available in the calendar.

Salokaya Dialysis @ Home

A growing number of doctors and patients agree that home dialysis is the best option whenever possible. More and more dialysis patients are choosing home dialysis over in-center treatment whenever mobility becomes an issue. The advantages of performing dialysis at home are compelling:
  • Home dialysis improves quality of life Home dialysis allows patients to perform treatments in the comfort of their own homes on their own schedule. Manytimes, patients who receive dialysis treatment on a home schedule often feel better overall and continue to lead more normal work and social lives.
  • Home dialysis improves outcomes Home dialysis patients are often able to reduce dietary restrictions and maintain blood pressure control with less medication. This leads to improved nutritional and functional status and lower mortality rates.

Preparing for Home Dialysis Equipment
In preparation for equipment setup, a member of our home dialysis team will perform a home assessment that includes water quality and volume, space requirements and electrical supply. In addition to space for the machine, you’ll want to be sure that you have room to store a month’s worth of supplies. (A customer service team member will help you reorder these supplies.)
